1.) Gestures are all that I have; sometimes they must be grand in nature." (Stein 1)
I thought that this line was interesting because it already begins to explain the complexes of a dog which I think is neat. It also sounds like it's about to begin a "grand" story which is always a good and intriguing way to start off a book.
2.) One part of the book described how Eve got sick and packed up all her and Zoe's things and then left the house for a couple days, leaving Enzo alone because Denny was also gone in New York. It then went on to describe how Enzo survived with no food and little water while remaining calm and understanding the situation. This was a good, but sad, part in the book because it shows just how smart Enzo is and how maybe his soul and mind are really human, which is also why it's important.
Another part was where Enzo and Denny were watching his big race and Denny described everything he was doing very detailed to Enzo, who understood every single concept, word, and movement. This is a good, and important, section because it shows just how close they are, and how well Enzo's brain works especially considering he's a dog.
3.) I chose this book because I love dogs a lot and I had never heard of such a neat book idea of doing a story in a dog's perspective of life. I'm about 75 pages in and I love it so far. Usually I have a hard time focusing on books and paying attention but this one is different because it's completely different than anything I've ever read. It's interesting, funny, and sort of sad all tied into one.

Why I Read
Most of the time I read to take my mind off of everything going on around me. Sometimes life and the real world can get so stressful and you just want to escape to a new one and experience new things that you could never actually experience in your own life. When you tune out the world and fully engage yourself in a good, quality book, suddenly life doesn't seem so bad. You can go throughout the day with ease just waiting eagerly for time to pass so you can pick up the book again and get lost. Even reading things in everyday life such as the closed captions on the tv can get you more engaged and focused on what's going on and make you feel connected to whatever you're doing while still learning and enjoying it. A lot of people find it hard to focus and pay attention all the time, but reading can even help with that. If you're on a long car trip, something as simple as reading the road signs you pass by can get your brain engaged, help boredom, and be more attentive.
